This project adopts an emergent, qualitative design focused on capturing participants’ perspectives on the process of collaboration, joint inquiry, and the co-construction of knowledge across the Global South/Global North divide. The data collection will take place in three phases to document this process. Throughout the phases of the courses, participants will be asked to submit short written and video reflections (as autoethnography) on their own background, observations and key reactions to the course themes and readings. In addition, the participants will be asked to work in small groups across national contexts to take photos and reflect on the courses’ key themes (photovoice):
global perspectives, global histories, global futures, and global actions. The group will share, discuss, and reflect upon their work throughout this process and publish a research monograph on the experience.
